Company Overview

Potbelly is currently owned by the Potbelly Corporation, an American company well-known for their submarine sandwiches. The Potbelly menu features a diverse selection of freshly-made sandwiches served hot on either regular or multigrain wheat bread. They are also well-known for their soups, chilli, smoothies, malts, and shakes. A distinct characteristic of most Potbelly restaurants is live music from various performers during the lunch hours. The first Potbelly sandwich shop was founded by Peter Hastings in 1977 in Chicago. Hastings turned one of his antique shops into the space for the restaurant decorating it with pieces from his previously owned antique place.
